Our Mission Statement:

Our vision is to be a school rooted in Christian Values lived out daily through our six core values (Courage, Respect, Compassion, Forgiveness, Humility, Truth). A school that values every unique member of its community as a valued child of God. A school family which enriches, celebrates and encourages all children of faith and none to be the best that they can be. Coaley C of E Primary Academy is committed to strive for educational excellence and to the spiritual, moral, and cultural development of every pupil.  We will strengthen our valued, special and historic link with St Bartholomew’s Church and our significance within our village and the community beyond.  We aim to foster an education that encourages delight, wonder and joy in learning through life in all its fullness (John 10:10).

Our Aims:

  • To encourage children to fulfill their potential academically, vocationally, socially and spiritually and to take responsibility for their learning and actions.
  • To provide a stimulating, high quality curriculum which is fully inclusive, develops potential and provides a range of enrichment experiences that help to bring the curriculum alive ensuring achievement and enjoyment for all children in our care.
  • To provide a safe, happy and healthy environment which develops confidence and self-esteem.
  • To provide a welcoming and supportive environment where Christian values and strong links to the Church and community are central to our teaching and ethos.
  • To encourage all pupils to make a valuable contribution to the school, local and wider communities.
  • To recognise that every child is unique and that we must all aspire to be the best we can be.
  • To enable children to explore and discuss faith and worship, working from a Christian foundation, in the context of a multi-faith society.

Our Core Values
At Coaley C of E Priamary Academy, we have worked with all stakeholders, pupils, parents, staff, governors and the local clergy, to identify the Core Christian Values that are going to help us achieve our vision. These are the bedrock for the ethos in our school and are woven through who we are.
Through collective worship, our Vision Days and all aspects of teaching our pupils learn to understand the meaning of each Christian value. Together, we agree what it will look like in our school and we will use each Value to be the best version of ourselves.
