Vision & Values

As a family, we flourish

Love each other as I have loved you

John 15: 12

Our School Vision

At the heart of Coaley Primary Academy is our community, our family, where we inspire all who are a part of our school to grow and flourish.

In the hearts of our children, we build confidence, respect for all, love and a joy for learning. We are the reservoir of hope for our community, helping our children have the wisdom and resilience to achieve their best.

With our hearts, we nurture all and show love to everyone. Through inclusivity and aspiration, we reap the harvest of success so everyone can thrive and achieve.

The passage from the Bible that lies at the foundation of our school vision and best summarises who we are and what we do is:

Love each other as I have loved you, John 15: 12

I am the real vine and my Father is the farmer. He cuts off every branch of me that does not bear grapes. Every branch that is grape bearing, he prunes back so it will bear even more. In the same way that a branch cannot bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you cannot bear fruit unless you are joined with me. I am the vine, you are the branches. When you are joined with me and I with you, the harvest is sure to be abundant. I have loved you the way my Father has loved me. This is my command: Love each other as I have loved you.

 John 15: 1-12

Our Christian Values

At Coaley C of E Primary Academy, we have worked with all stakeholders including; pupils, parents, staff, governors and the local clergy, to identify the core Christian Values that are going to help us achieve our vision. These are the bedrock for the ethos in our school and are woven through who we are.

Through Collective Worship, Coaley's Curriculum, enrichment weeks, vision celebrations and all aspects of teaching, our pupils learn to understand the meaning of each Christian value. Together, we agree what it will look like in our school, how it will help live our vision out and we use each value to help us flourish and be the best version of ourselves.

At Coaley, we value every unique member of our community as a unique child of God. We are a school family who enrich, celebrate and encourage all children of faith and none to be the best that they can be. Coaley C of E Primary Academy strives for educational excellence and the spiritual, moral, and cultural development of every pupil.  We value the special links we have with St Bartholomew’s Church, within our village and the community beyond.  We aim to foster an education that encourages delight, wonder and joy in learning where all members of our community flourish.
